John of John
Perhaps a little excesive, but an epic tale of loneliness, and of men just making our own lives miserable because that’s what we do.
I didn’t like this one as much as Shuggie Bain, but it was close.
★★★★★
Side note: earlier this year I decided that I would only finish books that I felt (strongly) could be 4 or 5 stars. I have finished around half the book I had finished last year by this time, but I don’t regret the decision one bit.
As a quick recap, this is what I’ve read this year so far:
| Rating | Number of books |
|---|---|
| ★★★★★ | 19 |
| ★★★★☆ | 3 |
| ★★★☆☆ | 0 |
| ★★☆☆☆ | 0 |
| ★☆☆☆☆ | 0 |
